Is A Picture Really Worth 1,000 Words

most-powerful-inspired-best-amazing-photography-controversial(20)

What I see in the picture is a women and a child. You can also see a person that is walking in the background. That person is wearing a black suit and carrying a black suit case. The woman is dressed in an army suit with her combat boots and her camouflage book bag, which she wears proudly.  I also see a little girl which is wearing a white and pink stripped shirt.  They seem to be in a bone colored airport as if the women has just come back from serving the country. What the little girl and women are doing in the picture, is hugging. So I would lead me to conclude that the little girl and the women have a relation. This relation would be of a mother and a daughter.  The lady has blonde hair, which is braided, and her daughter has brown hair. The lady seems to be the one who has returned from war and has just been reunited with her daughter.
What I think is happening, is that the woman is being reunited with her daughter. I think that she has just gotten off of her plane and the first thing she wants to see is her daughter. Everything that she has been through is now in the past and she is living in the present she is living her moment right now. Since she is reunited with someone that she loves she falls to her knees in the joy of being with her daughter. Her expression is so touching. You can actually feel the vibes from the expression she has on her face. But I believe that what she feels is something I would you would have to be in her position to feel.  I believe the little girl must also be happy to finally see her family after so much time apart from each other. The mom must have thought she wasn’t going to make it. I think she thought this because she seems so touched by the fact that she is back with her daughter. She must have seen many terrible things when she was at war.  She must be thinking that everything is now OK and that she has nothing to worry about. She must also be thinking about being a survivor after a lengthy time period in war. The only thing she has to worry about is her daughter and watching her daughter grow up.  Everything must be falling into place after such a long time away from the place she calls home. A long time away from those which she loves. A long time away from the people those who love her.  Being happy for finally being reunited with her daughter seems to be the best thing that has happened to her in that period of time.
What I think is going to happen, is that she is going to go back to her normal life. She doesn’t seem to have much on her mind it just seems like everything she has done has been for her daughter. I think she will view everything differently and she will be grateful for everything she has unlike the people she might have met while at war. She might have witnessed people dying and people being taken from their families. she might have left as a women that had courage to serve the country but she came back as a new person with new out looks on life and she must have came back a greater and better mother. She could have witnessed many horrible and terrible things she would never want to happen in her lifetime.  I think she will try to catch up on what she has missed in the time period she was gone and she will be grateful for everything she has at this point. I think this because I heard war is no laughing matter. People die in war everyday and she was one of the few that survived and she must be grateful and happy that she is alive and with her family. I can imagine being in a place where you have to be in fear every second of your day and sleeping in such an environment.  From that environment coming into an environment where there everything is at peace and you can sleep in tranquility I would also be happy.  She must be very happy even to see the people she hates. The worries she will have after returning home is being with her child. So her future is her child.  Something else she could do is going back to war. She could volunteer to go back to war.  She must be hoping that what she did at war helped. It helped in the way that it helped stop the war and helped make peace.  She can live her life as an average everyday person.  I think the lady in the picture might have even flashed back to the events she lived through. She could have been in the position of death or the position of gun point. Everything in her life could have changed and she could be tired of the way everything is in the other countries. She might want to never let this happen to the country we call home so she could return to war. She could think of everything she went through and the present becomes the past. If she ever went back to war I think she would have another emotional event like the one pictured. She must have met many people from all over the country who are united and ready to serve the nation no matter the risk of dying. She must have noticed all the love and unity that every one demonstrated that she wanted to keep her life in something that would help bring peace and love to the other country just like the love we had for our country. Serving the country and returning must have been her fairy tale ending.

My Destination

“Lemur Island, Madagascar my destination for my vacation. I never thought that I would have a chance to visit such an exotic place.” “Come on Julie, we’re going to miss the plane if we don’t get on right now.” “Ok I’m just going to finish   saying good bye to my mom.” “Well mom I hope you won’t miss me when I’m gone, and I will call you everyday” “have a safe trip, I love you.” I boarded the plane and before I knew it we were in the air. “Hey Julie, aren’t you scared of heights.” “Yes, I am; but I’m trying to stay calm.” “Ok, but aren’t you scared that the plane might just fall out the sky and we will crash land in a weird place.” “Don’t say that!” “Ok then lets just relax until we get there.” About 10 to 11 hours had gone by when the pilot came on the intercom and said “ we will soon be landing in Buenos Aires ,Argentina” “ what?! I thought you said this plane was going to Madagascar. Caroline!! What number flight is this?” “The flight number is 32. Why?” “Why! This is the wrong plane. I told you that the flight number was 22” “I’m sorry.” “Ok now we are in Buenos Aries Argentina. I have never been to Argentina; it seems like a good vacation destination.” “So you’re not mad?” no Caroline I’m not mad. I just want to enjoy this vacation I have worked hard for.” “So are we going to stay here or are we going to get on another plane to Madagascar?” “We are going to stay here.” “This is going to be a fun trip.” The plane landed and we got off; I was so happy to be on land again, I just wanted to kiss the floor but that would have been weird. So first thing we had to do was find a place to stay. It took me about an hour to find a place to stay. Since that was done I decided to go around and take a look at the place.
It was very hot it felt like 90 degrees. I wanted to enjoy my time here and that was what I was going to do even though I hate the heat and well I was going to have fun. So I started to wonder off into the streets of Argentina and I saw these beautiful colorful buildings and houses. Everything here was so different from everything back at the U.S. it was like going into a completely different environment. I noticed that everything was so breathe taking and I wanted to take a picture to remember this trip. I remembered that Caroline had my camera so I turned around to ask her to take a picture. When I noticed she was no longer there and I was lost. I lost my best friend and myself in Argentina what was I going to do. I decided to ask people for directions but I didn’t even remember the name of the street that I was on. This trip had just gone from bad to worse. It then started to rain what a horrible first day.
This trip didn’t seem like a vacation. It hasn’t even been a day and everything went down hill. I kept walking and came across these tall buildings; they kind of reminded me of the towers in New York. These towers are like skyscrapers, they seemed to reach the sky. The congress hall and the main town is like changing the architectural view, everything is in a different construction perception. It’s like stepping back to the time of the royal people. Everything appears to be castles and very important. All of these beautiful sights and I’m stuck looking for Caroline and trying to find out where I am at. I just wanted to go home at this point; I was wet, tired, and lost. I came across this bakery it seemed like I had seen it before. Since I wanted to dry off I decided to go in there and buy something to eat. I saw this girl that seemed to be wearing the same thing as Caroline but I went over to her and that wasn’t her.

So I sat down and drank some hot coffee with a croissant. This little bakery, with windows for walls, is very open to the public so you could see everyone that passed by.  This lady was walking by with a bunch of bags in her hand and she looked at me and smiled. That was when I noticed that she was Caroline. I ran outside and hugged her. I was so worried I had lost her forever. “Where were u Caroline? I was worried I wasn’t going to find you.” “I went shopping, I saw this really cute outfit and I just had to buy it. I went back to the hotel and I didn’t find you so I went for a walk.” “You know where the hotel is!?” “Yes I do, why?” “Thank gosh. Lets go to the hotel I’m tired and I want to go change my clothes.” “Ok” this trip was now getting back on track. The next few days were great and I was grateful that everything happened. It made me come to the realization that the beauties of these places are amazing and you don’t need a camera to capture them. The beauty of this place will make an impact that will be stored in your memories forever. Who would have thought Argentina was going to be my destination?

A Life In The Dark

"Bad things happen to everyone. Something worse than the other. Suffering through this cold every night and having to walk around in the dark. Everything seemed to be at its worst." this is all I could think of as the hurricane just began. I was mistaken the hurricane was just starting and everything was about to get much worse. "Brush your teeth and go to sleep." my dad told us. "Everything will be ok but if something actually happens just be ready. Go to the master bedroom and rest there I’ll wake you up if anything happens and if we need to evacuate" "ok I will take my brother and my sister to the bedroom and hopefully they get some rest" to my surprise they were fast asleep in a few minutes. Unlike me it took me awhile to fall asleep. As I laid there in the dark all I could hear were things crashing into the house and all the branches falling from the trees as if they were raindrops. You could hear the trees as they snapped like twigs. Who would have thought that such things were going to happen? As I laid there in the dark I just wondered if this was happening here, I wonder if this was nothing compared to what other people were living through. I just stared at the ceiling wondering and as I watched the room get darker and darker and darker until everything was pitch black.
Next thing I realized was waking up to my mom and dad talking in the living room. The hurricane had lightened up and it was time to go and see the damages the hurricane had committed. We drove around the neighborhood since we had no electricity at the house and no electricity meant there was no heat or light or entertainment. Where ever we drove there was a tree that was blocking the road and many things had been destroyed, everything was closed. The town appeared to be a ghost town; it was empty, quiet, and lifeless. I had never seen the town like this. There was nothing we could do for the day except wait in the house and see if the power came back on. It started to get dark and we still didn’t have any power. So I went upstairs to see what my cousin was doing. It was very bright in the area my cousin was at; he had almost ten candles illuminating the 2nd floor. They were sitting around the table gambling their money. So I decided to join the game. In the end I won three times the money I started with. The next few day we continued playing cards but with out money this time. We got bored of the game by the 5th day, so we went out to buy a new card game we ended up playing that for another 4 days.
Every day that passed by we had to heat water up to take hot showers. We needed to charge our phones in the car. I didn’t have service on my phone which was the worst. It was the worst because everyone was trying to contact us and when they couldn’t reach us they started thinking something bad had happened. When the signal started to get at least one or two bars I sat next to a window in the attic to make sure I had reception. Everything was hard work for nine days. Nothing seemed to get better. At least I got to spend time with my family. Everyday felt like hard work and everything seemed to be more difficult. On the ninth day I fell asleep.
Then on the tenth day we got the power back at the house. It was 4 o’clock in the morning when the lights turned on. We were so happy we were going to have hot showers, a warm house, light, and food that weren’t going to spoil because the refrigerator was working once more. Who would have thought that we depended so much on technology? Everything we used in our everyday life we took for granted and we didn’t know how much we loved something until it was gone; but this experience brought our family closer together.

The Meaning Of This Quote...

“So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” -Alex super tramp

The meaning of Chris's words is that life is like a closed cage, a closed cage that we have been accustomed too. He also means that in this life we live our imagination and spirit is being forced to not cross the lines of comfort. I agree with Chris because he is right. Everybody in this life is caged and nobody thinks outside of the box. Everybody expects everything to be done for them. Everybody believes that everything has been done and they just give up on trying making an invention even better. Everybody is happy with the way things are and they don’t have to work that hard to get what they want.

Chris embraced these beliefs by escaping the society and actually changing his way of life to the way he wanted things to be. He began a life in which no day was ever the same as the other. Everyday was now an adventure. Every road he took brought something new and everything he did he had to work hard for; just the way he wanted his life to be and the way he liked it. He no longer needed the comfort of society or the protection of society he now just needed the spirit of determination and adventure.

My life has been conditioned to a life of security conformity and conservation by the fact that everything I need I will always have. I know everything will be okay because I have the protection of my family and I know nothing bad will happen. I know that everything will stay the same and that there will never be any drastic changing to the way of life I am accustomed to. If there could every be a moment that I could meet Chris I think he ask me if I am happy with the way of life I have. I think he would encourage me to take a chance and escape this prison we have to call reality. He would encourage me to run away and never look back because looking back would just make me change my mind and that wouldn’t help me at all. I think he would tell me to live my life as if I would die tomorrow and dream as if I would live forever.
Questions answered
1) Explain what Chris means in this selection in your own words.  Was he right or wrong?
2) In what ways did Chris embrace and then exemplify these beliefs?
3) How has your life been conditioned to a life of security, conformity and conservatism?  If you could meet Chris, what do you think he would specifically question about your life?  What do you think he would encourage you to do?

Poems For The Soul Of A Hitch Hiker

Wanting An Escape

I find myself laying on this floor of mine, oh what I wouldn’t give,
To feel just fine.
There’s so much more to me, then what you see,
I’ve been through so much,
Id give anything to be free.
I’ve sacrificed my heart to someone who doesn’t care,
Someone who wouldn’t even be there.
I give it my all, and every time I think of it, on the floor is where I fall.
I’ve been talked down, everyone expects me to smile,
But all I wear is a frown.
Ashley Perkins

The theme of this poem is escape. This poem can relates to Chris Mccandles in the sense that everyone expected him to be something and do something he didn't want to do. He just wanted to escape the society that criticized him and judged him for every little thing he did. He wanted to be free and experience the real world and he was just awaiting the moment to escape. A dream he actually accomplished.

I hate the high society

High society was pompously spurious; blowing
pricelessly precious moments of sacrosanct life; in
wisps of obnoxiously sleazy cigar smoke,

High society was abhorrently malicious; invidiously
castigating its own counterpart behind their back;
while garnering a sanctimonious smile in front of the
same,

High society was inconspicuously threadbare; harboring
diabolically ominous tendencies for the miserably
oppressed; evolving castles of rotting currency on
their poignantly scarlet blood,

High society was spuriously ostentatious; diffusing
the entire tenure of their claustrophobic life; in
dungeons of hideously ungainly manipulation,

High society was brutally tyrannical; indiscriminately
lambasting the diminutively innocent; to baselessly
inundate their venomous treasuries; with even the very
last iota of food in their impoverished stomachs,

High society was insanely ludicrous; unrelentingly
dictating the poor to polish their worthless shoes;
then wholeheartedly laughing their hearts out;
admiring their capriciously grotesque reflection in
the same,

High society was ghoulishly devilish; preposterously
drinking wine in the realms of their own cheaply
glittering chambers; while the immaculately blissful
commoner shivered uncontrollably; in the acridly
freezing maelstrom outside,

High society was ambiguously hypocrite; perennially
breaking hearts like frigid matchsticks; with their
devilishly unholy promise towards the chapter of
resplendent life,

High society was truculently unforgiving;
cold-bloodedly treating even the most inadvertently
committed of mistakes; with the vindictively gory heel
of their satanic shoe,

High society was abominably authoritative; salaciously
dictating their unfathomable graveyard of whims and
woes; upon the wonderfully ingratiating fabric of
eternal mankind,

High society was treacherously bombarding; demonically
marauding the symbiotically triumphant happiness of
every righteous household; with raunchily stinking
notes of indescribable corruption,

High society was surreptitiously precarious; giving
you the merciless slip towards the corpses of ultimate
death; when you thought you had secured an invincible
stranglehold on the fortress of bountiful life,

High society was heinously wasting; inviting their
snobbishly silken cats to eat in plates of
fathomlessly scintillating silver; while the
disastrously orphaned urchin was breathing his very
last outside,

High society was egregiously parasitic; barbarically
sucking rivers of blood to rejuvenate their
meaningless lives; when all what they actually needed
was just two droplets of holistic water,

High society was indefatigably fretting; agonizingly
complaining about God’s panoramically resplendent
creation; just because the Sun filtered an iota too
more through their murderously tinted glass,

High society was a ridiculously dead skeleton;
incessantly witnessing the Lord’s beautifully fragrant
creation through glasses of lecherously licentious
wine; and then collapsing into countless bits of
worthless chowder; as the wind increased its pace even
an inconspicuously exhilarating trifle,

High society was ruthlessly heartless; malevolently
betraying the souls of impregnably true lovers;
morbidly incarcerating them within jailhouses of
sanctimonious status; caste; creed and tribe,

High society was tumultuously penalizing; lunatically
violating God’s every divinely virtue; having the
wealth to purchase every confectionary with the
opulence in their pockets; yet remaining a sordid
failure in the pages of existence,

High society was a robotic tycoon; self-conceitedly
squelching the winds of voluptuously regale artistry
and breath; with inclemently mechanical behavioral
patterns; all throughout the day and enchanting night,

High society was a uxorious dog; uncontrollably
wagging its criminally slavering tongue; at even the
most fugitively ethereal insinuation of titillation
and extra wealth,

High society was parsimonious mosquito; nonsensically
disseminating its affluence on nubile vixen and
bawdiness; bereft of even the tiniest beat of
perpetual love in its insides,

High society was a hollow termite; horrifically
guzzling the threads of harmony; symbiotism; unity;
with its canines of torturously vengeful prejudice,

High society was an asphyxiating web; which tightened
the noose of its ill will more tautly upon you every
unfurling minute; derogatorily drowning the element of
sparkling truth in your persona; with its gutters of
inevitable lies,

High society was torturously imprisoning; crippling
the wings of your fascinatingly seductive freedom not
only for this; but for an infinite more lives,

High society was a boundless sea allright; but without
even the most mercurial trace of waves; compassion and
sensuously redolent togetherness,

High society was an ostracizing gallows; lividly
laughing at traumatizing sorrow around them; basking
in the glory of their falsely fiasco brawn and might,

High society was arrogantly deceitful; bending down
like a obeisant snail in front of lambasting
superpowers; whereas the Creator ruled every bit of
this endless Universe; ever since the moment it was
born,

High society was unreasonably questioning; wretchedly
molesting innocuous organisms; for ostensibly no fault
of theirs or their humbly humanitarian kind,

High society was an impudent stone; shattering not
only the truthful glasses; but the irrefutably
patriotic conscience of a synergistically common man,

High society was pretentiously civilized; behaving
like a astronomically nail polished angel on the
bustling streets; while ripping each other apart worse
than what wolves could execute; in the bloodstained
upholstery of their castle room,

High society was pugnaciously blinded; maniacally
overlooking even the most magnificently majestic
empathy around; in the monstrously debilitating shine
of incongruous coin,

And although it was unfortunate but true that I was
born amidst its integrally sodomizing cradle; I had;
am; and will always hate the high society till the end
of my time; and in every blessed life of mine….

Nikhil Parekh

This poem is about hate and society. This might be a poem Chris read. I believe he would appreciate this poem because this talks about how corrupt society is.It also states how society is unethical. The poem's mood is hatred and disgusted , the same emotion Chris had for society. This is a poem that might have spoken to Chris, and hopefully this poem will actually speak to everyone. This poems might have been the literature themes that Chris might have read.

A Life Changing Experience

"Another day on my journey to Hollywood. It seemed like years when it has just been a little over a year. Who would have thought that I would be here." That’s all that came to my mind as I walked across the Hollywood walk of fame. My impatience was killing me I couldn’t wait to find a job and try to live here. The joy I felt overwhelmed me Just to know that i'm stepping the place where the famous people once stood and walked. As I got up and walked away from the walk of fame I ran into this pole. On the pole there was a poster that said they needed a waiter. I saw a great opportunity for a stable job.
I ran around town looking for the restaurant. When I finally got there I took another look at the poster to make sure I had the address right when I noticed the fine print said 18 and up age required. My heart fell now how I would find money to buy food. So with a disappointment in my heart I walked away from the restaurant. Since I was depressed I just looked at my wore down shoes I had on. Then I crashed into the well dressed elderly lady. "Sorry miss...I wasn’t looking" “its okay. My name is Joy. What about you?" My name is Estephany." She then asked me what I was doing and why I was alone and looked a mess. "Well I came on this expedition that I think will change my life. As they say you have to make or be the change you want to see." “I see. Do your parents know your here?" "No" “A youngster like you will die in this society. I bet you are hungry." "Yes I am but I have no money no job no house and no food." "How about you come with me and work as my maid. You will have a stable job food and house." “Thank you so much." So she took me to her car and told me that her house wasn’t that far away from here.
It was a fifteen minute drive when we stared to pull up to this big white house that appeared to be a mansion. The garage we pulled into was like a mini house. We came out the car and I started to walk towards the front lawn which seemed to have its one garden and the walk path was a collage of rocks of many sizes and colors. The door was twice as big as me and the inside was an artistic piece of architecture. “Well here we are. I will show you to your room and you can take a shower and I will bring you some clothes that I think will fit you.” Once I got out of the shower this beautiful silk shirt was set on the bed and these nice pair of jeans that fit perfectly.
I went downstairs to find Joy. I walked into a kitchen and saw her cooking. I went up to her and asked where her husband was and where the clothes were from. “My husband is no longer with us, he is now watching us from above and the clothes are from my daughter who is also watching over me.” “I’m so sorry to hear such a thing, but may I ask how they passed.” “It was September 4 when my husband, daughter and I were coming back from a road trip and we were tired. My husband was driving when a deer jumped right in front of the car and we crashed into a truck that was going at highway speed. My daughter and husband died on impact. I was just badly injured.” “I’m sorry to hear that.” “We are a wealthy family and well I don’t think I will live for that much and I don’t have anyone to leave my money to. I want you to have the money.” “ME!! Why me?” “You seem like a person that has ambition, so I want you to have the money and you can do what every you want with it.” “Do you like to travel?” “Yes I do.” “Well with the money I am going to buy a RV and we will hire a driver that will take us on a road trip.” “But I can’t leave the house alone.” “Yes you can just pack your stuff.” The next day we went to buy an RV and we hired a driver who was willing to drive us cross country. “Who would have thought that my life could change in such little time? I guess I was the change in my life and it had a wonderful impact on the life of another. I guess good things do come to those who wait.”

Was it a coincidence...???

Rapture of the deep... was it his fault or not.....?

I am Estephany ace reporter in search of the truth behind the Audrey Mestre death.I have located a juicy article which states all the information that can help me process my theory. In the article Rapture of the Deep Audrey dies. Everyone is saying that Pipin Ferreras was the one who planned the murder. I disagree with all of these people. I think everything that happened was just a coincidence. The fact that Pipin was willing to let Audrey bet his record really says a lot considering the fact that Pipin is a very competitive person. He also wanted Audrey to go beyond his record. Even though many signs point to Pipin being the one who caused Audrey's death, I believe it wasn’t his fault. He had prepared everything for the dive. The equipment not working was his fault but it was because the people that he had hired for that job had messed up and he decided to check but not make a complete check.

The fact that Audrey was spitting out blood once she reached the surface was that the rescue divers were going to fast and the pressure was increased at a rapid speed that caused Audrey to have less of a chance to survive. Her body had imploded. The fact that there was no rescue diver at 394 was a cause of her death. The rescue diver while cave diving. Who would have known that this was going to happen? The fact that this dive was practiced and performed many times before had made Pipin confident that Audrey was going to be safe and that she was going to do the right thing if she ever needed. Audrey was the one who didn’t act they weren’t paying attention to the time and that is the factor that killed Audrey. The fact that everyone thinks that Pipin was the one who planned all the death, in my opinion, is a lie. The fact that Pepe died the day he was diving doesn't mean that Pipin wanted to kill his competition. Don't you think he would have gone for his enemy if he actually wanted to kill his competition? Why kill the one that he loves?
